Party basics - questions to consider:

What's the reason for your Party?
- Wedding

- Birthday / Anniversary
- Or, just any good reason to Party!
How about a theme - the current Party rage!
- Beach Theme (when in San Diego . . . )
- Taste of California (with food stations each representing . . . )
- Team Building event: "Americana Idol", "Build and Donate Bikes", "FASCAR"
- You're a smart person, think of a cool theme and go with it! (Mike will help you)
What's for dinner?
- "Buffet" - guests walk either side of food displayed on long table(s)
- "Plated" - waite staff serve your guests (classy but cost more)
How long?
- Cocktail Hour - usually one hour of drinks and socializing
- Meal - figure one hour and plan accordingly (your caterer will help you)
- With Award Ceremony / Special Dances
- Dancing - two to three hours is ideal - Leave 'em wanting for more!
Master of Ceremonies / Disc Jockey
- "Ronny Radio" - this is the cheezy DJ your friends warn you about!
- "Friend of a friend is a DJ" - sound pretty scetchy - worth the risk?
- In the Yellow Pages . . .the cheapest one! - be careful, lots of people want to be DJs
